CGE Group Zhangjiakou Exploration Machinery Co., Ltd. is a geological equipment manufacturing, State-owned enterprise, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Geological Equipment Group Co., Ltd. of China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd. (Fortune 500).The company's predecessor was the railway repair plant that was opened after the famous railway engineer Zhan Tianyou built the Beijing-Zhang Railway in the late Qing Dynasty. It was founded in 1910. In 1953, the railway repair plant was transferred from the Ministry of Railways to the Ministry of Geology, which is one of the 156 key construction projects in China's "First Five-Year Plan".
